Toyota AMA Arenacross Welcomes Team GPS Racing!
Jimmy Nelson & Dennis Jonon Make Immediate Impact on Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Talent Pool

AURORA, Ill. (Nov. 1, 2007) – For the sixth-consecutive year Team GPS Racing will field a pro arenacross team, this year gearing up to do battle on the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series beginning this weekend (Nov. 2) at Des Moines’ (Iowa) Wells Fargo Arena.

Heading up George Hodkinson’s two-man team will be Nevada’s Jimmy Nelson (#84) and Kansas’ Dennis Jonon (#236).

Nelson, a well-know figure on the Monster Energy/Canadian MX Nationals circuit as well arenacross, supercross and MX Nationals circuits here in the U.S., will adapt quickly to the rough house style of racing on the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series tour with his go-for-broke riding style - said to be reminiscent of the great Damon Bradshaw.

Jonon, who’s also honed his dirt bike skills a bit up north of the border, is fairly new to the sport of arenacross, having raced the series for the first time two years ago. Jonon has a solid fan following and hopes to improve his riding skills – and enjoy the results that come with that – on this year’s Toyota AMA Arenacross Series tour.

"The GPS Racing team is looking forward to this Toyota AMA Arenacross Series season - the team's sixth,” said GPS Racing team owner, George Hodkinson. “In the last two years we've put seven out of eight riders on the podium, so it’s important for any rider and team not to look past who I put on the race track. I've got a real diverse sponsor base, and proof there’s a motorcycle industry out of the usual southern California pool when you look at our list of sponsors.”
